Third Lithuanian stakeholders meeting in Nida

On 7th February 2017 the 3rd BONUS project BaltCoast meeting with stakeholders happened. The representatives of the Curionian Spit National Park, Neringa municipality, UAB “Neringos vanduo“ and the scientists of Klaipeda University gathered together in Nida. The tasks of this meeting were to update the stakeholders about the project results: observed and modeled microbiological pollution results of 2015-2016 in the Curonian Lagoon (presented by Marija Kataržytė) and socio-economic evaluation of a possible beach establishment in Nida on the side of the Lagoon (presented by Arūnas Balčiūnas). The BaltCoast representatives also proposed several alternative investments and their possible scenarios. All sides agreed on the future collaboration towards sustainable development of the Curonian Spit related to the coastal zone management issues.
