Objectives are

• to measure the current state of sustainability, the success of Integrated Coastal Management (ICM) in the case study sites and to provide an evaluation tool for the SAF
• to provide a tool for stakeholder participation and preference analysis within SAF as well as to support planning processes in case study sites
• to evaluate the effects on successful implementation of international agreements and
• to identify socio-economic indicators supplementing existing ecological policies and directives
